That facility holds 4 certificates: cGMP 21 CFR Part 117 (NSF Shanghai, certificate NSF25GMP10001, valid to 9 Oct 2026); ISO 22000:2018 (CQC, certificate 001FSMS2200202, valid to 31 Mar 2028); ISO 9001:2015 (CQC, certificate 00125Q31884R1S/4400, valid to 30 Mar 2028); China HACCP scheme V1.0 (SGS-CSTC, certificate CN22/00000600, valid to 12 Apr 2028). Every number, audited scope and expiry date is published at build-your-own-brand.com/certifications, along with the public registry to verify each certificate against.

Is Build Your Own Brand FDA registered, Halal certified or Kosher certified?

No. These certifications are held by our manufacturing partner facility, not by Build Your Own Brand. The facility is cGMP-audited; it is never FDA approved, because the FDA approves neither dietary supplements nor facilities. We hold no Halal or Kosher certificate on file, so we badge neither. We also hold no NSF product or sport certification - NSF Shanghai is the auditor of the cGMP certificate, which is an audit of the facility rather than a mark on any product.

What product formats do those certificates actually cover?

Every audited scope above is confined to gummies and gel candy, and to solid or powder beverages. Capsule, tablet, softgel and liquid lines sit outside all four scopes. We manufacture those other formats, and we do not claim they sit inside these certificates. Read the audited scope printed on each certificate before assuming it covers your product.

What is GMP certification and why does it matter for supplements?

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certification means a facility has been audited against defined standards for manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and storing food and supplement products. It supports consistent product quality, accurate ingredient amounts, and control of contaminants. Our partner facility is audited against 21 CFR Part 117, the US current Good Manufacturing Practice regulation for human food. A cGMP audit is a third-party conformity assessment - it is not a registration and not a regulatory approval.

Does Build Your Own Brand provide third-party testing?

Yes. Production batches undergo independent third-party laboratory testing for identity, potency, purity, heavy metals, microbial contamination, and allergens. The specific panel that applies to your product is set out in your quote, and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided with the batch.

What is included in a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A COA includes identity verification confirming the correct ingredients are present, potency testing to ensure label-claim accuracy, heavy metals screening (lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic), microbial testing for bacteria and mold, and allergen testing where applicable. COAs come from accredited third-party laboratories; we hold no ISO 17025 accreditation of our own, because that standard accredits testing laboratories rather than manufacturers.

Is FDA registration the same as FDA approval for supplements?

No, and neither applies to us. The FDA approves neither dietary supplements nor the facilities that make them, so no manufacturer anywhere holds FDA approval. FDA facility registration is a separate thing - a filing rather than a certificate - and we make no claim to it, because no registration number for our partner facility exists on any document we hold and the FDA publishes no searchable facility registry for a buyer to check one against.
